about the team ...
Dr. George is justifiably proud of his team and is pleased to have each introduce herself to you.Arline
I’m
Arline- My history in this office started as a patient of Dr. George.
One day 13 years ago I got a strange phone call and it went something like this: "
Hi Arline this is Maria from Dr. George’s office. We are in need
of a front office person to answer the phones for a couple of days and we were
wondering if you might be interested in giving us a hand." Needless
to say I’m still here and it has been wonderful. Looking back to
realize how things have progressed in that time I now know why I stayed more
than a couple of days.
Dawn
Hi
my name is Dawn—I have been a dental assistant for 14 years, 4 of which
have been with Dr. George. In conversation with other staff members
and patients I freely express that this is the best office I have ever worked
at, and I truly believe that. What I enjoy most is the close interaction
with the patients. In addition to being a chair side assistant I am
also a patient care consultant. If patients have any concerns or questions
about dental treatment I am always available to answer them for you.
Dee
My
name is Denise but I go by “Dee”-- I have been
in the dental field for 20 years and at Dr. George’s office for 2. In
combination with working at this office I volunteer in the community providing
dental services for the underserved. I am experienced as a dental
assistant as well as front desk administration. My goal as a financial
coordinator at this office is to help patients find creative ways to afford
quality dental care.
Maria
Hi,
my name is Maria-- I have been a dental assistant for 30 years, 27 of them
at this office. I started to work for Dr. George’s father, Dr.
Joseph George, in 1979 and have been here ever since. I love my job
and enjoy working with people very much. I couldn’t imagine working
at another office. Everyone here feels like family, and that is how
we think of our patients. I am also your patient care consultant. I
am here to assist you with any concerns or questions you may have about your
dental work.
Marie
My
name is Marie-- I am part of Dr. George’s dental hygiene team. I
have worked in the dental field for 28 years. I graduated from a dental
assisting program in 1979. While working as a dental assistant I
realized I wanted to be more directly involved in patient care and expand
my knowledge of dentistry. I went on to dental hygiene school and graduated
in 1996. I have worked in a periodontal specialty practice as well
as a pediatric practice, but my favorite place to work is a family general
dentistry practice. I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. George
and his staff for the past 5 years. I enjoy helping my patients attain
better oral health as well as getting to know them and their families. I
am always looking to take continuing education to find better ways to do
things. Some people say I am “over enthusiastic”, I say
I love my job and I love what I do.
Pat
Hi
I’m Pat-- My career in dentistry started 14 years ago with
one of those life changing moments. The old cliché, things happen
for the best, certainly is true for me. After being laid off from
the corporate world I went back to school to pursue a degree in dental hygiene. I
graduated and was licensed in 1993. Right out of school I started working
for Dr. George and his team and have not looked back since. I think
it is great how this office keeps up to date with all the new technology
and procedures. The variety of patients I see weekly keeps dental hygiene
a wonderfully challenging profession. I truly feel our patients are
offered the best treatment possible.
Lisa
My
name is Lisa. I am the newest member of Dr. George’s team. I
have had the pleasure of working with Dr. George and his welcoming staff
for 1 and ½ years. My career in dentistry began as a certified
dental assistant. After assisting for 2 years I then decided I wanted
to have a more active roll in patient care so went back to school and graduated
as a dental hygienist. I truly enjoy the one on one interaction I am
able to have with patients at this office. After treating many of
the same patients several times over a period of almost 2 years I can now
see the results of improved oral healthcare in my patients. I find
that a very rewarding feeling.
